Madrasa — Learning Platform & Design System
Design system, web dashboard and lesson app
A bilingual design system — colour, type, components and patterns — that lets one small team ship a student dashboard and a lesson app with the same quality.
Madrasa's product had grown screen by screen, with four shades of purple and eleven button styles. We audited every page, then built a design system in Figma and code: an indigo ramp with four accents, a type scale that pairs Geist with IBM Plex Sans Arabic, and forty components with right-to-left variants.
With the system in place, the team rebuilt the student dashboard — streaks, courses, deadlines and a calendar — and a lesson app in eight weeks. New features now start from existing patterns instead of blank pages.
